Newsletter - "The Growing News"

"The Growing News" is The Inland Empire Gardener's monthly newsletter. The purpose of the newsletter is to educate, entertain, and keep our members informed of upcoming club events and local gardening events.

Each issue contains a Calendar of Events, the monthly speaker/tour, President's Message, gardening quotes/trivia, and timely/useful gardening information.

The Inland Empire Gardeners is a general interest gardening club so "The Growing News" has a variety of subjects. The newsletter occasionally produces special issues that delves into a single subject. Past subjects have included: roses, perennials, shade gardening, cacti/succulents, Japanese gardening, weeds, herbs, veggies, organic gardening, trees, sunflowers, garden humor, Halloween, bugs, and the four seasons.

"The Growing News" is published 11 times a year (with the November/December issue being combined). The newsletter is 6 pages (11x14 inch) and there is usually an extra flyers which makes each issue 8 pages long.

TIEG members are welcome to contribute material to the newsletter. The Newsletter Editor is Club Secretary Chris Sheppard and Newsletter Publisher is Club President ViAnn Meyer.
